Web Development
Our web design process begins with meetings with the client to discuss the goals for the site, sketch out a site map, and discuss the desired look and feel of the site. As part of these discussions, we can provide advice based on best practices for building effective websites.
Whatever the design features of the particular site, our web standards favor user-friendly sites with well-organized information and clear, consistent navigation. All our websites are optimized for search engine performance and include Google Analytics for visitor tracking.
After years of using other tools and technologies, we now specialize in building sites with Word- Press, an open-source web publishing system that has become one of the most powerful, flexible, and easy-to-use “content management systems” available. With WordPress, our clients can easily edit their own sites without knowing HTML and add many types of “rich media” including slideshows, video, podcasts, and more.
We have created websites for small and midsize businesses, Alaskan artisans, state and local agencies, nonprofits, educational programs, and our consulting clients and partners.
Our web clients have included the Alaska Tobacco Control Alliance, Alaska Public Health Association, Arctic Treks, Discovery Voyages, Doyon Utilities, FNSB Mayor’s Office, FNSB Early Childhood Development, Office of the Governor, University of Alaska, and many more.
