Alaska Strategic Traffic Enforcement Partnership

Provide the logistical and conference planning support for the annual ASTEP conference. The Summit provides state and local law enforcement agencies with tools which promote and enforce traffic safety laws within Alaska. AHSO top priorities are the education and enforcement of Impaired Driving and Seat Belt laws.

Dewey Hoffman to intern with Doyon, Limited on cultural resources project

Former Information Insights intern, Dewey Hoffman plans to work as an intern this summer at Denali National Park with Doyon’s cultural resource department.  Dewey will assist professor James Kari with an ongoing Athabascan language place mapping project that Kari.

Alaska Marine Highway System Analysis

Information Insights is working with staff of the McDowell Group to design and implement a public input process to inform communities and other stakeholders about the Alaska Marine Highway System Analysis project and to solicit public input on service option alternatices for analysis. Public outreach initiatives include regional presentations to stakeholder groups, special presentations to the Marine Transpotation Advisory Board (MTAB), a household survey, and public comment website.

Deborah Hewitt awarded for top-notch shooting

Information Insights employee Deborah Hewitt placed high throughout the five day, Pacific International Trapshooting Association Alaska State shoot, held June 10th-14th.  She took High Lady in eight of the nine events, including championship events.

Out of over 90 shooters, Deborah placed in the top 15 overall, and took High Overall Lady for the entire shoot, and High All Around Lady, for just the championship events. She plans to keep up the good shooting, and continue to shoot well next month at the Amateur Trapshooting Association Alaska State shoot at Birchwood near Anchorage.

Lydia Larson

Lydia started working for Information Insights in September 2008 full time in the Anchorage office. She is now the supervisor for the Alaska Housing Energy Rebate Call Center.

Lydia graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2007, and moved down to Anchorage in 2008. She is now working on her masters in Holistic Nutrition.

When not at work, Lydia runs for Athletics North and has many races and triathlons planned for the up coming summer and fall.
