In April 2008, Information Insights completed an analysis of the economic impacts of Alaska Native organizations on Interior Alaska. Phillips Jr. of Doyon, Limited that appeared in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner on May 28, 2008.
A recently completed economic study presents a picture that might surprise you when it comes to Native organizations in Fairbanks and Interior Alaska. Doyon, Limited and Tanana Chiefs Conference along with Fairbanks Native Association, Interior Regional Housing Authority, Doyon Foundation and Denakkanaaga contracted with Information Insights, Inc., a Fairbanks based Alaska public policy and management consulting firm, to carry out the study. Economic Impact of Alaska Native Organizations
This 2008 study determined direct and indirect economic impacts of Alaska Native organizations through their employment payroll, spending, and investments on the economies of the Fairbanks North Star Borough and Interior Alaska. The study was completed for Doyon Limited, Tanana Chiefs Conference, Interior Regional Housing Authority, Fairbanks Native Association, and Denakkenaaga, Inc. It updated a 2000 study completed for three of the five sponsor organizations.
Public Employee Retirement Focus Groups
Recruited participants from the general public and public employees and conducted numerous focus groups in two cities about public employee retirement benefits.
WIC Strategic Planning
Created a strategic plan for the statewide WIC program. Collected data from local grantees through key informant interviews and an online survey.
